We are looking for an IT Assistant to support the head of IT by being the foreperson for daily IT support. The successful candidate will also support in devising a library of resources for employees and managers, improvements to existing procedures and systems to ensure business continuity. This role will be a group function, across three business, so rest assured, it will never be a dull day in the office for those seeking new challenges and are solution orientated.
This is a full-time role, based in our Head Office in Herne Hill (SE24 0HG). Unfortunately, Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
Monday – Friday 08:30 – 17:30 (40hours per week)

PRIMARY PURPOSE
The IT assistant with support the Head of IT with the day-to-day IT Tasks, managing first line support. Initially, the IT Assistant will shadow the Head of IT and begin to map out current processes and procedures generating a library of resources for employees and managers, and to ensure business continuity.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
· Provide 1st line support to the Groups UK offices and staff, as well as, providing strategic support to the Head of IT.
· Take control of the IT Ticketing system, FreshDesk, resolving issues and escalating, where required whilst prioritising multiple open case.
· Shadow the Head of IT and generate procedural documentation.
· Maintain an asset register.
· Install and configure computer hardware operating systems and applications
· Monitor and maintain computer systems and networks.
- Alongside the Head of IT, troubleshoot system and network problems, diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults.
- Establish a good working relationship with colleagues, across all departments.
· Onboarding:
· Working alongside HR, ensure a smooth IT onboarding process for all new employees across the group.
· Set up new users' accounts and profiles and deal with password issues.
· Plan for and ordering of new IT equipment, ensuing a realistic inventory whilst keeping within budget.
· Provide systems training, as required, to new user taking into consideration varying technical ability.
· Any other task as reasonable required by the Group.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
- Experience as an IT Service/Support Engineer or similar role, preferably in a multi-site organisation but not essential;
- Previous basic networking experience.
- Working knowledge of Office 365 Admin Portal (New user creation, configuration);
- Excellent communication skills;
- Ability to prioritise and manage conflicting deadlines.
