About the Job

We’re looking for 3 driven individuals to join our IT Services team. As part of this job, you will complete a Level 6 (Degree Apprenticeship) here at UEL, in Digital and Technology Solutions (DaTS). We're offering hybrid working and you will spend time at our London campus's in Docklands or Stratford. Alongside your degree apprenticeship, you will work in one of the following areas of IT Services.

  • IT Asset Management – you will be responsible for the safeguarding and compliance of all hardware and software assets managed or overseen by IT Services, ensuring the assets associated continuous improvements are properly registered in our database.
  • Customer Service Improvement – you will be responsible for providing and facilitating the quality control and data analysis for IT support to the University’s user community.
  • Modern Desktop Development – you will provide technical expertise and knowledge within the End User Computing team to ensure UEL’s staff and students receive the highest quality experience for their digital workspace environments.
  • Application Support and Development Specialist – you will ensure existing systems are running optimally, manage application lifecycles, and ensure ongoing development of environments are in line with defined application roadmaps.

About You

We are looking for motivated individuals, with a genuine passion for IT who are enthusiastic about learning.

To be eligible for this opportunity you must meet the below criteria:

  • Have been a UK / EU / EEA resident for, at least the past 3 years and meet ESFA residency criteria.
  • Reached school minimum leaving age.
  • You do not already hold an equivalent qualification in a similar field of study, such as a degree in Information & Technology.
  • Achieved a grade C or above (or equivalent) in English and Maths GCSE (A-level in Maths would be preferable) – if international, you must have a NARIC equivalency.
  • Must hold 96 UCAS points.
  • Ideally hold a Level 3 / 4 in a related industry qualification.
