My Vision Security are currently recruiting for a IT Technical Support Officer to join our technical team in Wolverhampton.

The role is critical to ensure our operational day-to-day front line services run efficiently

The shift pattern is Monday to Friday 0830hrs - 1730hrs . Flexibility and reliability is a must.

This is a fantastic opportunity to utilise your current skill set, learn and develop. This is a permanent role so you will need to be available and ready to start within the next few days!

What you will do:

• You will provide technical support for incoming queries from our Customers and Engineers relating to system, software, hardware and networks.
• You will be problem solving for our clients over the phone, and then following up with them to make sure an issue has been resolved.
• You'll provide excellent customer service, and build lasting working relationships
• Be the first point of contact for customers seeking technical assistance
• Answering calls and raising support tickets
• Providing assistance to identify and resolve service incidents
• Help share and build technical knowledge within the team.
• Escalating complex tasks as required to the Management Team.
• Performing basic daily checks to ensure all systems are functioning properly
• Delivering training to new and existing users
• Understanding of networking (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, Firewalls, Switches, VPN, Wi-Fi) as well as general IT infrastructure (hardware, databases, operating systems, local area networks etc.)

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (written and oral)
• Confidence in dealing with staff at all levels throughout the business
• A calm, thoughtful and considered manner, with the ability to handle tricky technical situations
• Ability to work well in a team environment
• Ability to explain ideas to people who aren’t familiar with them
• Self-motivated, hardworking and flexible
• Ambitious with drive and resilience
• Enthusiasm with a keen interest in learning and professional development
• Excellent analytical skills with an eye for detail
• A driving licence and access to own transport will be helpful, as occasional travel between our offices

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £22,000.00-£25,000.00 per year
