We’re seeking an IT Infrastructure Administrator who is ready to work with new technologies and architectures in a forward-thinking organization that’s always pushing boundaries. Here, you will take complete, end-to-end ownership of projects across the entire company.
MiraCAD handles hundreds of terabytes of data distributed across several sites. This data must be securely held, transferred, and backed up to ensure business continuity. Our ideal candidate has experience supporting a multi-location company, managing firewalls, VPNs, Storage arrays, Backups, and Office365. As well we would like our candidate to be well-versed in Cloud Infrastructure architectures such as AWS or Azure and be willing to help the company move forward in this area.
Objectives of this Role
- Support new IT initiatives, such as new office builds. Setting up storage and new networking.
- Develop a Data lifecycle plan
- Design, support, and implement a plan on how to efficiently get data back from the field, store it in remote offices for initial processing, move it back to Head office for QA, archive completed projects in tiered architecture, 1yr old, 3-year-old, 5-year storage cost-effectively. Onsite-RAID, Onsite-Tape, AWS Glacier
- Maintain multi-office VPN for inter-office file transfers as well as remote access to offices for employees
- Maintain Existing Storage devices at head office and remote offices
- Ensure storage devices' storage space is adequate.
- Ensure Backups and Snapshots are occurring and tested on a regular basis
- Ensure adequate alarming is occurring for Temperature and hard-drive failures
- AWS Infrastructure
- Provide support for building and maintaining AWS infrastructure
- Contribute to an AWS infrastructure design and implementations
- EC2, SQS, S3, Lambda, EFS, CDN
- Maintaining costs of AWS infrastructure by ensuring lean development and efficient storage costs
- SOCII Compliance
- Ensure devices and infrastructure meet our SOCII standards
- Gather SOCII evidence for weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual tasks
- Office IT administration
- Wireless network support
- 10G network support for internal Data Transfers
- Printer support for all offices.

Salary Range
- $25 - $40/hr (depending on experience)
