Job description
Temporary Contract until 31 March 2024 | 37 hours per week | £39,248 to £43,517 per annum (Grade K) | Norwich
We are seeking a new inward investment manager to join our busy and high profile team. You will be part of the Invest Norfolk and Suffolk team that is located within the New Anglia Local Enterprise Partnership, at the Centrum, Colney, Norwich where we generally meet once a week. The rest of the time you will work from home or on site as required. Invest Norfolk and Suffolk operates across Norfolk and Suffolk and aims to attract or retain new inward investment by businesses across the area. We do this by responding to new enquiries from businesses seeking a wide range of information and support. Another key area is to undertake lead generation work, through various forms of promotion to increase the flow of enquiries. This in turn is driven by constant research into the Norfolk and Suffolk "offer" to create or enhance propositions that we use to raise our profile.
Ideally you will have worked in an economic development team before and have some knowledge and understanding of the work. You will be expected to have a broad understanding of different business sectors and ideally have a more detailed knowledge of 1-2 of them. This could include renewable energy, food drink and agriculture, engineering, ICT and Creative Digital or transport and logistics. You should have a track record of working with businesses directly and also have a clear understanding of social media and other marketing approaches.
You will need a driving license and access to a car - which could include NCC's pool car. You will operate across Norfolk and Suffolk and occasionally beyond.
We want our people to be inspired and motivated to work well together, make the most of our workspaces, enjoy a healthy work-life balance, and deliver excellent services to Norfolk and its people. Flexibility is built into the way we work, with hybrid working a key feature for many roles. Our technology platform and equipment are first class, enabling you to connect and collaborate remotely. We ask that you have in place good Broadband connectivity.
