In the role of Marketing Assistant, you’ll support the Marketing Director in creating marketing deliverables and tailoring all marketing activity to help more accountants and bookkeepers find PF and get the marketing support they need and want.
Success is defined by an improvement in core marketing numbers.
Your priorities will be focused on increasing:
1. Number of monthly website visitors
2. Number of organic search referrals
3. Social media engagement (with a specific focus on LinkedIn)
You’ll join a team of 18 people, and will work together with the Marketing Director, Sales Director and our Client Manager team to deliver on our ambitious company targets.

- Basic WordPress experience – able to make small updates
- Moderate knowledge of and experience in SEO
- Social media skills (platforms, optimisation, tracking ideas & ability to implement them)
- Enthusiastic and self-motivated; track record of achieving targets
- Understanding of good design principles
Marketing:
- Be led by Marketing Director and have responsibility for creating and executing marketing activity
- Translate marketing requirements into creative briefs for creative studio (content & design)
- Track pre/post-campaign numbers
- Communicate and maintain timelines and priorities on each project
- Collaborate with Client Managers and Content Writers to create and publish client stories (both long form case studies and shorter form social media posts
- Assist in management of bi-weekly resources from team:
- Create stackable content from marketing resources
- Social media (research, draft content, creation with design team)
- Monthly newsletter (research, draft content, email & publish)
- Help set-up online events (i.e. webinars, workshops, Lab community sessions)
- Regularly update content on website and collaborating with website team to manage PF website
- Building relationships with clients in Accelerator and Lab
- Attending client meetings as required
- Attending Accelerator & Lab sessions
- Connecting with clients in Slack and on social media
- Take the lead in project managing assigned internal marketing projects (with strategic direction from Marketing Director) to ensure project deadlines are met
- Collaborate and brainstorm with Marketing Director on a wide range of materials that may include web pages, presentations, social media, branding, logos, internal communications, blogs, and marketing materials
- Write up briefs, detailing ideas and needs, communicate ideas to the content, design & web teams to plan the best way to deliver project
This is a full time, employment role.
Location
You must be based in the UK to apply for this role. This is a remote role, so you can work from locations to suit you, as long as you have solid internet access and can jump on Slack or Zoom video calls at any time.
You will be expected to travel (primarily within the UK, but also globally) to meet with the MD, other team members, clients’ offices, and other locations for workshops and events, often with other PF team members.
You’ll also attend hybrid and regional team retreats each year, and whole-team retreats every other year (location may be outwith the UK).
Salary & bonuses
The salary range for this role is £24k-£26k, depending on your experience and qualifications.
We pay all-team bonuses when company wide and departmental targets are reached. You also have access to an equipment fund, coworking days fund, and mental health support fund.
