Job description
Fantastic opportunity to join long standing Family Office backed PERE firm who focus on adding value to mainly operational real estate and creating core assets to be held for the long term. Their principal commercial investment portfolios are in London and New York. They have a small entrepreneurial team and due to expansion seeking an Investment and Development Analyst/Associate.
Responsibilities
- Work with the current asset excel models and develop new models to underwrite investment and development projects, other real estate transactions / investments and M&A - office, hotel, self-storage (significant level of “operational” real estate)
- Creating hotel P&Ls from scratch for new projects
- Hotel feasibility studies
- Develop investment teasers, Investment Memos and presentations for third party capital raising (debt and equity)
- Preparing hotel management agreement proposals and presentations for hotel owners
- Market analysis for new office, hotel and self storage projects – rents / yields / STR / comps / ADRs / RevPARs
- Supporting with real estate and corporate due diligence and negotiations throughout all stages of a transaction – real estate and operational transactions
- Supporting on board, shareholder and investor reporting
Requirements
- Approx 5 years of experience in the hotel investment/ development/ real estate industry
- Experience / keen interest in hotels investment analysis and underwriting including thorough financial modelling – including operations, development and debt (including covenants)
- Experience in commercial real estate investments and underwriting
- Being able to review and build investment models in Excel to a “best in class” standard
- Entrepreneurial, hungry, autonomous mindset
- Experienced in supporting hotel acquisitions from start to completion
