Global Asset Management, the investment management business of the HSBC Group, serves HSBC’s worldwide customer base of retail and private clients, intermediaries, corporates and institutions invested in both segregated accounts and pooled funds. We are currently seeking an ambitious individual to join our team as Head of UK IB Client Operations.

Role Purpose

The HSBC Alternative Investments Limited (“HAIL”) Private Markets team is one of the largest private market investor, managing $26bn of assets on behalf of institutional clients and the HSBC Private Bank across Private Equity, Private Credit and Real Assets. The role is to work within the HAIL Private Markets Investment Team to invest into primary, secondary and co-investment opportunities as an Analyst or Associate (depending on experience).

In this role, you will:

• Screen primary, secondary and co-investment opportunities for the HAIL Private Markets investment team.
• Assist in the due diligence of investment opportunities across a wide variety of transaction types (i.e. buyout, growth, infrastructure, credit or real estate) across a range of geographic regions (i.e. North America, Europe, Asia Pacific).
• Review investment opportunities to assess the overall risk / reward profile.
• Participate in the team day-to-day activities of running a best-in-class global Alternative investment programme.

• Experience in Financial industry, with a sound understanding of private markets and corporate finance.
• Must have good written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical skills, with ability to think critically, conduct data analysis and solve problems.
