Inventory Controller

We have an excellent opportunity for an Inventory Controller to join a world leading supplier of specialist equipment to the service industries. The Inventory Controller will play a key part in this company's fast paced scaling and global growth and be primarily responsible for recording the status of all inventory and ensuring that records are accurate and complete. You will be responsible for setting up new equipment descriptions and codes as well as ensuring all kits, substitutions and auto pick lists are set up correctly. The role will also involve working with the software suppliers to enhance the performance of the database, as well as others in the company to ensure the data is modified, accessible and able to be interpreted for a variety of business functions.
As an Inventory Controller, your duties would be:
- Ensure all equipment are barcoded and accurately inputted with complete and correct information into the equipment Tracking System.
- Work with the Purchasing team to ensure that all purchases are correctly recorded in RT pro against inventory assets, with appropriate data entered on creation of product codes for new items.
- Play a supporting role in organising stock takes and cycle counts including liaising with Auditors.
- Work with the Inventory Manager, Equipment Control Manager and sales teams to create auto pick lists that would benefit the ordering and picking process.
- Improve the asset database by including weights, photographs, and all other information, either individually or by leading a managed process to ensure an accurate and detailed inventory.
- Improve the inventory database by completing projects such as user rights and security levels.
- Verify and incorporate new acquisitions inventory into the existing database and provide support for the Quality Control team during that process.
- Provide support to Operational teams with analysis and reports on equipment utilisation, across all sites.
- Provide remote inventory systems support to other company’s locations giving training both remotely or in person
Experience required for the Inventory Controller
- You must have good previous inventory/stock control experience gained within a fast paced environment
- Must be IT literate with a good understanding of Microsoft office software.
- Must have the ability to learn the company’s inventory tracking system and scheduling system.
- Able to travel when required (Occasional)
