Inventory Control Assistant United Kingdom
Job description
- Ensuring stock levels are maintained over the required minimum levels.
- Re-ordering stock when required through the requisition process.
- Order picking and despatching of products to the field service team.
- Processing inventory through the Goods Inwards process and raising any necessary Quality and Quantity issues.
- Conducting stock takes
- Ensuring stock is stored safely and securely via manual handling equipment.
- Transacting stock movements through the MRP systems (Oracle/Astea) to maintain accurate records.
- Creating kits and issuing inventory in line with requirements for Production builds and after sales demands.
- Liaising with field service team, answering queries and adding part requirements to orders.
- Ensuring all relevant paperwork is completed accurately.
- Reporting any issues, stock shortages to stock control supervisor.
- Perform other duties outside core role when required on an ad hoc basis.
- Able to work under own initiative and as part of a team.
- Thorough attention to detail.
- Familiar with stock management systems, (Oracle preferred).
- Good communications skills required - Working with a wide variety of stakeholders.
- Computer literate – Understanding of Microsoft applications preferred.
- Manual Handling Machinery experience or willing to undertake training (FLT Counter Balance, Order Picker, Flexi)
