Job Title
Inventory Clerk
An inventory clerk creates professional reports of the condition and contents of a property. Whenever tenants move in or out of rented accommodation, an inventory clerk is needed to go into the property and assess the condition in layman’s terms. This inventory can then be used as a reference in determining deposit returns or disputes.
Reporting
- Directors
- Training Supervisor (for initial training period)
Job Overview
Scheduling & Inspections:
- Diary management
- Key collection, accessing property
- Property inspection (including meters, smoke alarms, keys)
- Testing of alarms
- Utilising recording device/app to record details of property
- Extensive photos of property on room-by-room basis
- Returning keys to agency representative if required
Reports:
- Liaising with typist to create report
- Uploading photos
- Inputting further content and ensuring final report is formatted correctly
- Addressing any follow-up questions from tenant, landlord, agent
Qualifications
- Comfortable navigating around London and Surrey
- Detail oriented
- Punctual and well-organized
- Independent with a problem-solving mindset
- Access to laptop (including Microsoft Office apps)
Travel
- Travel within London and Surrey
Availability
We are looking for people that can usually work around 3-4 or more days per week (including Saturdays and some Sundays).

Job Type: Freelance
Salary: £40.00-£200.00 per day
