Accounting Conversion Analyst
Location: United States
Recent and anticipated acquisitions across the US are requiring the addition to our team! The Insurance Accounting Conversion Analyst will be instrumental in the build out of our exciting growth initiatives.
You will be responsible for partnering with the Operations Department during the conversion process for all Risk Strategies Company (RSC) & One80 Intermediaries branches to ensure a smooth conversion into the Insurance Accounting department for each acquisition. This includes reviewing each acquisition’s original accounting environment & data, and addressing any post-transition issues. This position works closely with the Operations & Accounting departments, acquisition personnel, and other Accounting Conversion team members.
Responsibilities:
- Review and understand each acquisition’s original accounting environment and accounting policies and procedures
- Identify and understand any unique accounting issues
- Work with acquisition team to align accounting policies and procedures with RSC's & One80’s workflow
- Review AR, AP and carrier data to understand current format and determine if clean up is needed prior to conversion
- Work collaboratively with the Operations Department to ensure all conversion data is in the ultimate condition for transition to Insurance Accounting team
- Assess and address any post-conversion issues and assist the Accounting Conversion team with timely resolution and development of procedures
- Actively participate in regular conversion and related meetings providing status updates
- Participate in and support all related and cross-functional initiatives
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5+ years in finance & accounting within Insurance industry
- College degree required
- Knowledge of Salesforce and Microsoft Dynamics365 a plus
- High attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Exceptional organization and time-management skills
- Demonstrate proficiency in computer applications, esp. Microsoft Office Suite and comfort working in a paperless environment
