An exciting opportunity has arisen for a position to join our tier 3 plus service providing assessment and treatment for children with intellectual disabilities who pose additional challenges because of their complex behaviour.
We are looking for someone with previous direct experience of working with children or adults with intellectual disabilities in a Health, Education or Social Care context.
The Intervention Worker will join a very well established and well regarded multi-disciplinary team providing a range of intensive interventions to children and parents, usually in the family home. With access to regular supervision, your duties would include: contributing to the comprehensive assessment of children and young people; carrying out planned interventions and liaison with professional networks.
We value multi agency working and have strong links with the local network of children's NHS and Social Care services. We offer excellent support, training and development opportunities. You will be expected to travel to visit families within Derby City and Southern Derbyshire.
