Hello Education has an exciting opportunity to support a local provision as an intervention tutor, the role will be ideal if you have previous experience of teaching, teaching assistant, SEMH one-to-one or tutoring and are looking for some flexible work.
This intervention tutor role involves:
- Working with children with Special Education Needs who need to provide face to face support to children with ASD, SEMH or PMLD at their homes, care homes or a local area e.g., library which can be agreed with the parents/ carers.
- Planning resources around the child’s needs, this could be on developing their knowledge in Maths, English and Science.
- Skills and experience on keeping the child engaged with task and ensuring they can access the learning.
- Managing behaviour and implementing a range of behaviour strategies.
What we are looking for in intervention tutor:
- SEN experience (as teaching assistant, one-to-one or any other)
- Able to plan and deliver engaging, nurturing sessions.
- Applying skills to raise pupils’ confidence and learning.
- Experience with working with children with challenging behaviour.
- Checking that pupils are on track to achieve their desired learning outcomes and being able to provide feedback.

Working hours are between Monday to Friday, 08:30 -16:30 approximately.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
