This internship opportunity sits in our Chief Information Office (CIO) in the testing team and will focus on assessing software quality through designing and executing manual and automated tests. You will support the team to ensure our products, applications and systems work correctly by providing accurate test evidence.

Responsibilities

In this internship opportunity, you can expect to be:


  • Working with business and technology stakeholders to contribute to the test strategy and test plan to deliver specific business outcomes
  • Supporting the Senior testers and wider team, to ensure test evidence requirements are met
  • Ensuring all test design and test execution activities are compliant with agreed frameworks
  • Creating Test Design Specification and Test Cases for the system under test, working with the Business subject matter expertise, Business Analyse/Product owner to seek their feedback
  • Updating the selected test tool with the outcome for the test and reporting clear, concise and timely test metrics & dashboards
· Building your knowledge within testing: Functional Test, Test Automation, Test Management and Non-Functional Testing· Measuring monitoring tools such as MS Dynamics, SiteScope, Wireshark & PerfMon.
  • Windows & Unix Server Administration plus additional Platform knowledge covering, Physical, Virtual, and Cloud.

The Individual

You will need to be a Graduate in your penultimate year of study, ideally in computer science, engineering or related field.

The best skills and attributes to have to be successful in this internship are:
  • To be a critical thinker teamed with problem-solving abilities
  • To be able to work autonomously within a matrix and fast paced environment
  • Knowledge of system development life cycle methodologies (such as,waterfall, spiral, agile software development, rapid prototyping, incremental, synchronize and stabilize, and DevOps)
