About the role
We are seeking an Innovation Project Management Intern to join our Project Management team at UNDO. The ideal candidate will be eager to learn and contribute to the development and execution of our innovation projects - putting science into practice by helping developing pilots. Supporting the project manager, you will work with cross-functional teams in the ideation, planning, execution, and delivery of broad innovative projects that meet business objectives. This is an Intern position until Sept ‘23 with potential for full time employment following review.
What will you do
- Assist with the development and execution of project plans
- Manage project schedules and budgets
- Communicate with project stakeholders
- Track project progress and identify risks
- Troubleshoot and resolve project issues
- Prepare project reports and presentations
- Travel to our pilot sites and assist in their execution
About you
We are looking for an innovative problem-solver with a passion for sustainable solutions and real desire to get ‘stuck in’. The innovation projects team are ‘doers’ - we don’t just manage projects from behind a gantt chart, we are in fields with muddy boots delivering the pilot projects that we developed. The ideal candidate should have a passion for climate, but they don’t need to be a carbon removal or enhanced weathering expert, they just need to be able to learn quickly. The candidate should be comfortable with change, with projects pivoting rapidly. Ultimately the successful applicant needs to be hard-working, diligent and optimistic.
Essential:
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting and as part of a team
- Proficiency in the google suite of productivity applications
- Some experience of managing projects, regardless of the size.
Working environment
The company is a remote-first business, however the innovation team is based in Waterloo, London and there will be an expectation to attend the office 1 day a week. We will also travel during the period of the internship to our pilot site in Stirling, Scotland.
