This internship is within our Pricing teamwhere you will be supporting the wider team by contributing to the delivery of reviews, as well as analysis to monitor and improve existing pricing models.
You will be part of either the household, motor or pet pricing team but could be involved in Pricing projects spanning all lines of business.

You will gain vast insight into our culture and our business and align that insight with your career ambitions. Successful completion of the summer internship could lead to you being offered a place on our Bright Futures graduate programme after Graduation.

Responsibilities
In this internship opportunity, we will encourage and support you to:
- Gather, validate and analyse information, creating models and preparing reports to support actuarial activities
- Create risk cost models and carry out data checking, reconciliation and document your findings
- Build and operate pricing models that use internal and external data sources to predict future trends and drive improved decision making
- Testing new advances in data management, analysis and manipulation
- Produce MI and Analytical information for Pricing Leads
- Support the team with forecasting processes and RSA consultants with other projects
The Individual
We want your individualism, capability, and ambition to shine through. You will need to have a zest for learning and a willingness to be hands on in the role.
You will need to be a Graduate in your penultimate year of study and ideally in a Mathematical foundation subject such as Finance, Statistics, Economics, Data Science, Data Analytics or Maths.
The best attributes to have for this role are:
- Strong numeracy skills teamed with basic programming skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- The resilience to succeed in a busy environment and use independent thinking
- The ability to communicate effectively to technical and non-technical audiences
