The Team
The role will support the Media & Entertainment Division (M&E), in particular the Content & Marketing and Partnerships & Distribution business areas.
The M&E division of ITV is an exciting area of the business. It is future focussed and is made up of an array of functions. The M&E finance team are considered to be trusted advisors to the business and therefore are part of a large team of people helping to shape the future of television, streaming and culture (find out more below!).
The Role
We have a new opportunity for a Finance Business Partner to join our M&E Finance team on a 12 month fixed term contract basis.
Reporting to the Senior Finance Business Partner, you will work directly with a wide range of business stakeholders to provide strategic commercial support, enable the investment and savings agenda and turn data into insights to support key decision making.
As Finance Business Partner, you’ll be tasked with facilitating performance through key value drivers and measuring outcomes through KPI’s, metrics and financial performance; looking forward, predicting outcomes of resource allocation and investment decisions.
This role collaborates with the broader finance community at ITV to deliver value to the business, seeking technical and specialist support from the Group Finance functions, the FP&A Centre of Excellence and the Business Service Centre.
Key responsibilities
- Partner with and support business stakeholders and Finance Business Partners across the team to deliver business area financial outcomes and performance KPIs.
- Develop relationships with business stakeholders, working as a trusted advisor.
- Develop financial models to support strategic initiatives, ensuring outputs are fed into key stakeholders to support decision making.
- Work closely with the FP&A Centre of Excellence to provide support on financial reporting, forecasting, budgeting, planning, and analysis. Build on their work to add decision support and insights to reporting, ad hoc projects and financial planning.
- Strategic cost management of embedded functions, understanding and influencing key cost drivers, optimising value from the cost base.
- Review, challenge and prioritise investment cases, ensuring ROI measurement and benefits commitments are delivered.
- Develop plans, budgets and forecasts, exploring scenarios and options for driving improved outcomes / performance.
- Drive performance through high quality analysis and decision support.
- Predict future outcomes and identify opportunities and threats.
- Support the development and implementation of ITV's Content & Marketing and Partnerships & Distribution strategies.
- Monitor and provide insight into macroeconomic and industry trends, considering potential short, medium and long term impacts on business plans.
Minimum criteria
- Qualified accountant (CIMA/ACA/ACCA) or qualified by experience with good finance business partnering experience in a commercial organisation.

- Previous experience of working in the media industry is beneficial.
- Experience of building and maintaining financial models
- Ability to find efficiencies and improve upon existing processes with creative and innovative solutions.
- Ability to work collaboratively with key stakeholders across the business.
- Previous experience of working with pan-discipline teams in dynamic organisations.
