Internship – Data Analytics
Job Location: Hybrid (Homeworker and Salford Office)
Salary: £22,000 (plus £300 flexible working allowance) per annum
Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday - Friday
Contract Type: 3 Month fixed term Internship (October – December 2023)


Would you like to join our exciting new internship programme, working on projects that add value to the day-to-day operations of one of the UK’s largest humanitarian charities, while gaining valuable experience and insight into the charity sector?

You’ll be part of our cohort of interns who have opportunities to learn collaboratively, make meaningful contributions and grow professional networks, while preparing for your future career through a tailored development programme.

Our internships are designed for school / college leavers, undergraduates, graduates, and career changers.
We don’t expect you to have significant experience or technical knowledge. We’re looking for enthusiasm, curiosity, and a commitment to support people in crisis.


A day in the life of a Data Analytics Intern will involve:
  • Working on a project to analyse patterns in First Aid Training course cancellations and associated costs to inform future scheduling of courses
  • Catching up with your line manager or other team members to discuss your project
  • Planning and prioritising your own work to complete tasks within deadlines
  • Collaborating with people who have a professional interest in your work and project
  • Gathering and analysing data and information to support your project
  • Presenting your project’s progress to diverse audiences
  • Participating in our internship community, sharing ideas, supporting other interns, and joining a tailored development programme

To be a successful Data Analytics Intern, you’ll need:
  • To be able to plan and prioritise workload to meet deadlines efficiently
  • A good working knowledge of standard Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • To ensure inclusive practice, challenge discrimination and promote diversity
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (e.g. active listening, sharing ideas, presenting information)
  • A commitment to learning and gaining a meaningful experience in the Charity sector



Closing date for applications is 23.59 on Sunday 20th August 2023 with interviews to follow soon after (expected to be from 4th to 8th September 2023).
