The Opportunity

Kite Packaging have a brilliant opportunity for a Commercial Linguist/International Buyer to join their National Distribution Centre in Coventry. Kite Packaging was founded in 2001 with a unique vision and a philosophy of employee-ownership. We seek a dynamic, commercially strong linguist who can thrive in a pressurised and fast-moving environment. Perhaps at the start of their career, we are looking for a driven individual with a strong commercial instinct. Ideally the candidate will understand distribution, purchasing, supply chains and the infrastructure of imports.

The role of Commercial Linguist/International Buyer:

The role will specifically cover the following areas:

  • Managing a portfolio of international suppliers
  • Identifying new suppliers
  • Supporting the Product Development Team in sourcing new products
  • Resourcing current products
  • Supply chain management
  • Inventory management

Key Skills and Essential Experience:

The successful candidate will have the following:

  • Be fluent in Turkish, German or Italian with strong English
  • Have experience within a commercial or purchasing environment
  • Be educated to degree level ideally
  • Be highly motivated
  • Have excellent communication skills
  • Possess commercial awareness and entrepreneurial flair
  • Have experience of distribution/purchasing/supply chains/imports
