POSITION PURPOSE

As an active member of the Global Logistics and Distribution team, the role will be responsible for assisting with the processing and management requirements of our international logistics network. You will oversee the day-to-day relationship with our third-party logistics and freight partners and ensure that the most effective and efficient solutions are upheld. Work with the Corporate Office and all the Supply Chain teams in the regions to maintain communication relating to warehousing, imports and exports by acting as a key contact within the European region.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support with Export scheduling and planning

  • Book containers with freight forwarder on the most economical route.

  • Work with Demand planners to process export customer orders.

  • Ensure all export orders are processed accurately and efficiently, according to individual trading terms.

  • Manage communications relating to exports and delivery dates, ensuring that freight is tracked, and relevant stakeholders in regions advised of any delays.

  • Regularly update each export market on the status of orders as required, ensuring all delays are clearly and proactively communicated.

  • Create shipping documents for export orders: invoices; packing lists and shipper’s letter of instruction (SLI) for completed orders.

  • Actively engage with other functional teams to achieve an optimal sea-freight scheduling plan, in respect of business targets and external providers operational requirements

  • To pro-actively seek process changes and improvements to achieve higher efficiency in work-streams

  • Ensure Warehouse and freight forwarder SOP’s are maintained and reviewed

  • Management of EU to UK and intra-EU Shipments via Transport provider, whilst managing exports from EU.

  • Warehouse EOM and EOY reconciliation.

  • Liaise with 3PL warehouse export order allocations to ensure priorities align with Aesop expectations.

  • Track the status of goods in transit as required and follow up with freight provider regarding any delays.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Significant experience in supply chain within a fast-paced, sizeable company

  • Proven experience with import and export processes

  • Attention to detail, structured and organised, solution and outcome orientated, resourceful and timeline driven

  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with reporting

  • Ability to build good relationship with key cross-functional teams

  • An advocate for process improvement

  • Excellent written and verbal communication

  • A proven ability to communicate with and manage key stakeholders across the business in an effective and timely manner

  • Experience with NetSuite (or similar ERP)

  • Internal: Global Supply Chain, Finance and NPD

  • External: Freight forwarder, 3PLs and Distributors
