This commercial position is a key role in finance but also the wider business. As International Finance Manager, you will be reporting to the International Financial Controller.
Your responsibilities will include:
- overseeing end-to-end finance operations
- financial planning and analysis
- balance sheet reconciliations
- looking to make improvements to procedures and controls
- ad-hoc projects and requests as and when they come up.
What you’ll be doing as our International Finance Manager:
- Ownership and review of monthly management packs currently prepared by an outsourced accounting function, ensuring that judgement areas, WIP balances, accruals and prepayments are supported
- Co-ordinating the work of 2 junior management accountants at month ends
- Variance analysis of monthly results against Budget, and partnering with country managers to ensure variances are understood
- Review of annual statutory accounts for international entities prepared by outsourced accounting function
- Co-ordination and review of monthly and quarterly vat reports
- Dealing with working capital management and production of weekly short-term cash flow forecasts.
- Ad hoc project work including financial modelling and analysis of system data in NetSuite
- Continually identify risks to delivery, propose solutions where necessary and effectively manage stakeholder expectations throughout.
What we’re looking for in our International Finance Manager:
- CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualified – minimum 18months’ PQE in industry
- Top 4 accountancy firm
- Experience of management accounts preparation and analysis, including multi-currency consolidation
- Experience of using NetSuite operational accounting system or similar
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and able to prioritise to meet deadlines
- Ability to build relationships both internally across all levels including commercial teams, and externally with outsourced accounting functions and external auditors
- A strong team player with a willingness to be flexible
- A desire to take ownership, add value, and make a difference to an expanding organisation
- Experience of working in the construction industry would be beneficial
