Overview
As part of a small team dedicated to opening a new Screwfix website, you will help setup and test, merchandise 14k products, then maximise traffic and sales within categories under your control. You will be part of a larger international team who has already setup a new Screwfix business in France, working with the web platform – Shopify. You will use web analytic tools, such as Google Analytics and Shopify dashboard, to monitor website performance and identify areas of improvement in our customer journey.
We are open to applicants from within the London area. This role can be based within London Paddington or Yeovil Somerset.
Key responsibilities
- Help configure the website and load products to the new Shopify Based website within customer logical categories in target timeline.
- Assist in translation validation including adjustments needed to improve SEO and on-site sales conversion.
- Assist in end-to-end customer journey experience design and transaction testing.
- Develop your understanding of e-commerce and expand your product knowledge to effectively select products for merchandising.
- As part of the international team, seek sales opportunities, meet targets and report at weekly trading meetings.
- Identify opportunities for increasing sales using web analytics tools to improve key performance metrics such as conversion, bounce rate, AOV and page views.
- Play a role in the implementation of our SEO strategy to effectively drive quality, relevant traffic, ensuring that we remain “Best in class”.
- Learn about Localisation and how to implement our Localisation strategy to drive consistent quality and relevant traffic across all our international websites.
- Identity and adapt the site to meet different customer missions and devices used.
- Learn the skills required to effectively use data to enhance the performance of merchandising, making iterative improvements to maximise sales.
- Understand and work with the automated product recommendation and on-site search tool to increase average order values.
- Manage the removal and additions of products for owned categories.
Required skills & experience
- Experience in website optimisation, including SEO.
- Excellent attention to detail
- Experienced in Excel and Google Analytics
- Ability to analyse complex data and effectively communicate this to the team.
- Organised in work approach, with the ability to prioritise and adapt to changing workload.
- Experience in a similar role or within a start-up business would be advantageous.
- Strong spoken English (most of your colleagues are English)
- Language skills in French Spanish or Polish is desirable but not essential.
