Role Title: International Affairs Analyst
Location: London Paddington


Role purpose:


To lead on Vodafone Group’s political response to market access disputes in its global operations.

To communicate Vodafone’s public affairs positions with key policy and political stakeholders – and to manage ongoing relationships with these stakeholders. To ensure that GEA SLT are kepy informed and updated on key geopolitical developments that may impact Vodafone. To identify and execute public affairs strategies that position Vodafone as a key partner of the UK government.

With us you will:

  • Lead on the political response to market access issues across Vodafone’s global footprint.
  • Lead working level engagements with the UK government (FCDO, DBT, CO and No 10) and lead on UK political intelligence and analysis.
  • Identify and coordinate relevant geopolitical engagements. Support senior executives at external engagements on geopolitical files.
  • Lead Vodafone’s political engagement with multilateral institutions (G7, G20, Quad etc) and with relevant foreign governments in London
  • Support ongoing intelligence assessments and intelligence including via a monthly geopolitical report and ad-hoc due diligence requests


You will have:

  • Experience in UK political engagement either in government or public affairs – ideally with an international focus.
  • Preexisting relationships with key political stakeholders and/or a proven track-record of developing relationships with key political stakeholders.
  • Experience in engagement on foreign policy and international trade issues.
  • Strong written communication including experience in briefing writing.
  • Experience communicating and engaging with senior stakeholders
