Responsibilities

• Work as a full-time 18T driver for the Special Carrier throughout Europe
• Drive 18T vehicles safely throughout countries in Europe part-time
• Be confident in driving a 18T vehicle in both urban and rural areas
• To professionally load and unload 18T vehicles
• Ensure transported goods are not damaged
• To carry out the daily checks on 18T vehicle you are driving to ensure safety and follow the appropriate procedures if not
• Good customer service when communicating with clients
• Represent The Special Carrier when on the job
• Complete all paper-work when required
• Check goods off with the clients to verify the delivery, noting any errors/returns accordingly
• Willing to be contacted on short notice
• Plan routes accordingly and meet delivery schedules
• Report your status to the office when you have reached the next stage in delivery
• Inform the office of delays if necessary
• Accepting to adapt to changes according to the client’s requirements
• Willing to work a few days on each mission
• Willing to work in a team, some jobs require double-manning

Required Documents and Skills

• Proof of right to work within UK
• Driving licence
• Valid HGV driving qualification C or C + E
• CPC (Driver Certificate of Professional Competence)
• Drivers Digital tachograph card
• Commercial driving experience would be preferred but is not essential
• Communication and organisational skills
• Experience driving outside of the UK in Europe
• Flexible approach to working hours as delivery round times may vary with workload
• Drive and determination to succeed in a fast-paced environment
