About the role:
As an Internal Sales Executive, you will be a key member of the Internal Sales team for the largest commercial market in RS Group.
You will be accountable for generating & identifying new opportunities to accelerate customer growth.
Ultimately this supports the achievement of the UK&I ambition to go from £500m to £1bn by 2027 and deliver the RS Way. The Internal Sales function is a key critical function to execute the Strategy to achieve those ambitions. The Internal Sales function is an enabler for driving the Value Proposition and Value-Added Solutions and is the human touch that complements our digital business.
Key accountabilities:
- Make outbound & follow up customer calls to build a relationship & understand customer needs
- Research customers via cold calling, emails & LinkedIn to identify potential opportunities & key decision-makers
- Qualify & determine assigned customers potential
- Drive consistent pipeline generation via outbound activity
- Secure orders by converting identified opportunities
- Record outbound call history & customer response in Salesforce
- Manage and maintain sales pipeline utilising Salesforce
- Nurture & build relationships with customers to increase pipeline conversion
- Convert potential customers into active spending customers
- Convert Marketing & field activity leads into Sales
- Work towards daily & monthly activity KPIs & targets
What we’re looking for:
- 6 months + experience in sales is ideal
- Exceptional communication skills (written & verbal)
