Imagine stepping away from the desk and having 400 acres of beautiful forest as your office? The Grounds Services team is responsible for managing and maintaining the forest landscape at each of our villages, including wildlife and biodiversity surveys. Our expert teams are extremely passionate about the natural environment at Center Parcs, which our guests love to see.
INTERNAL RANGER | £11.80 per hour
In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining a high quality interior sub-tropical landscape in accordance with the Company Standards of Performance and Planned Maintenance systems.
Other responsibilities will include:
- High quality maintenance of plants; including watering, pruning and plant bed maintenance including carrying out fertiliser application regimes
- Implementing and monitoring pest control plans and strategies
- Assisting the Grounds Team when required, with external landscaped areas
- Liaising with operating divisions in order to reduce the impact of essential maintenance
- You must be prepared to attend for additional duties during periods of adverse weather conditions
The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, hardworking and have the ability to work alone as well as part of a team. You should be naturally cheerful and have excellent communication skills.
Please note that this role will involve you working in hot / humid conditions.
HOURS OF WORK
You will be contracted to work 160 hours per 4-week period on a flexible basis. This means that your days and hours of work could vary each week, but you will always receive at least your contracted hours each period. Shifts will generally fall between 6am and 2:30pm.
As our village is open 365 days of the year, your working hours will include weekends, public / bank holidays and during Christmas and / or New Year on a rota basis.
ABOUT YOU
Essential requirements:
- Full UK Driving Licence
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in the Interior Landscaping and / or Nursery / Amenity Horticultural Industry
Desirable requirements:
- Qualified to NVQ Level 2 in Horticulture or equivalent
