Internal Communications Team Manager
We are proud to announce a fantastic opportunity to join the Communications Team at First Direct.
This position plays a key part in delivering and developing our internal communications strategy.
You will be responsible for ensuring communications are aligned to business priorities and connecting employees with our purpose, values and strategy, act as deputy for change and crisis communications, manage insight to measure effectiveness of communication implementation and suggest areas for improvement.
The role is also responsible for line management of internal communications team, supporting and developing communications practitioners to deliver consistent and high quality communications in line with strategic goals.
The Internal Communications Team Manager reports into the Head of Communications at First Direct, working closely with the Media Relations Manager at First Direct and the wider HSBC UK Communications Team.
Functional Knowledge required for the role
- A proven track record in developing, managing and implementing communication plans
- Experience delivering strategic communications aligned to business priorities
- Experience managing external creative agencies
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, including the ability to work confidently and effectively with senior executives
- A strong team player who can work collaboratively with peers
- Ability to work quickly, managing time and multiple priorities effectively
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Excellent knowledge of communication trends and best practice
- Desirable – experience managing and developing a small team
- Desirable – knowledge of financial services industry
