Internal Communications and Engagement (IC&E) sits at the heart of the BBC. It connects our people to our strategy and priorities; supports collaboration and knowledge sharing by sharing best practice and celebrating success; and gives colleagues a voice to help inform the experience of working at the BBC.

We are seeking an experienced communications professional for this Internal Communications and Engagement Business Partner role, with experience in campaign planning and delivery to head up our Internal Campaigns & Content team. This is a permanent role which can be based in London or Salford and some flexibility, ie hybrid working.

Main Responsibilities

As the Internal Communications and Engagement Business Partner, reporting to the Head of Internal Communications & Engagement for Campaigns and Channels, you’ll oversee the planning, delivery, measurement and reporting of campaigns to support the business deliver on key strategic objectives such as impartiality, our headline content moments, and our employee value proposition. You’ll manage a team of two, and partner with all areas of the internal communications team, as well as counterparts in External Communications, Brands and Marketing, and business stakeholders. You’ll also manage relationships with third parties to deliver creative, engaging campaigns for BBC staff.

Are you the right candidate?

To be successful in this role you will need:

  • Proven experience of delivering high impact employee engagement campaigns to drive understanding, sentiment, and behaviour
  • Proven experience of leading change and transformation communications
  • Ability to investigate, analyse and contextualise complex issues, presenting them in an engaging and impactful way to colleagues
  • Proven experience of an insight driven approach and best practice measurement techniques
  • Proven experience of developing a high performing team
  • A first class creative approach and appreciation of outstanding communications techniques both internal and external
  • Outstanding planning skills and the ability to oversee multiple high profile and demanding projects simultaneously
  • Brilliant interpersonal, management and communication skills
  • Good technical knowledge to deliver audio-visual graphic and online communications materials, including website, intranet, print, film, digital and social media
