Job description
Are you looking for an opportunity to work in a professional communications team? We are looking for a communications assistant to help us deliver our internal communications and engagement activities – designed to enhance staff engagement, communicate our University vision, and ensure our staff have the information and resources they need.
You’ll play a key role in producing and publishing content across our internal communications channels, including our weekly staff newsletters and via social media. You will also get involved in helping to organise hybrid staff events, such as our annual University vision town halls.
You’ll need to have first-rate writing skills and attention to detail, and be able to check your work for grammar and spelling. You’ll need to be comfortable with a fast-paced work environment and willing to take a flexible approach to changing priorities and deadlines. You’ll be social media savvy, highly organised, great with people, and able to deal with complex and sensitive information.
We’re one of the best not-for-profit organisations to work for in the UK. The University’s Total Reward Package includes a competitive salary, a generous Pension Scheme and annual leave entitlement, as well as access to a range of learning and development courses to support your personal and professional development.
We build teams of people from different heritages and lifestyles from across the world, whose talent and contributions complement each other to greatest effect. We believe diversity in all its forms delivers greater impact through research, teaching and student experience.
