Who we're looking for
The Technology Internal Audit team has responsibility for the execution of audits across Technology teams in London and also other locations, across Asia, Europe and the Americas. The team has a high profile, and the work undertaken is complex and often time pressured, and will, in many cases, have significant effect on ongoing activities within the Schroders Group.
As a member of the team, you will assist in the delivery of all aspects of audit assignments, including planning, fieldwork and reporting. Previous experience of audit and knowledge of technology is essential, as well as the ability to work effectively within teams and maintain relationships with stakeholders in the Group.

The team
The role of Group Internal Audit is to provide independent and objective challenge to, and assurance over, the Schroders Group's control environment through effective evaluation of risk management, control and governance arrangements implemented by management.
The department has around 20 members of staff and is led by the Head of Group Internal Audit who has a primary reporting line to the Chairman of the Board Audit and Risk Committee, with a secondary line to the Group Chief Executive.
What you'll do
- Planning and scheduling audits with the business, as directed by the Head of Technology Audit.
- Delivery of audits as allocated by the Head of Technology Audit, ensuring that work completed and outputs produced adhere to relevant professional standards and to the Internal Audit manual.
- Attending closing meetings.
- Escalating issues identified by Internal Audit to appropriate levels of management promptly.
- Writing reports, issues and actions to a high standard.
- Tracking issues and actions arising from internal audit work.
- Ongoing liaison with relevant management across Schroders to maintain awareness of key developments.
- Involvement in special projects and investigations as required.
- Supporting the Internal Audit Manager in performing their duties, and substituting as necessary.
- Maintaining the relationship with internal audit co-source suppliers, if needed.
The knowledge, experience and qualifications you need
- Previous experience of audit, preferably in an internal audit function.
- Experience within the financial services industry.
- Strong understanding of technology (such as infrastructure, cloud, databases and investment application systems) and their associated risks and key controls.
- Understanding of the UK regulatory environment.
- Excellent communication and report writing skills.
- The ability to work effectively with business staff and management.
- Ability to travel in the UK and overseas for up to 20% of your time.
The knowledge, experience and qualifications that will help
- Experience specifically within the asset management, wealth management or private banking industries.
- English is essential as language. The knowledge of other languages used within Schroders group will be considered to be an advantage.
- An audit, accountancy or IT-related qualification (ACA, ACCA, CISA, CISSP).
