DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES
- Lead and conduct internal audits and SOX assessments, including operational, financial and compliance assessments.
- Develop comprehensive audit programs, including developing an understanding of current business risks and controls to identify areas of risk that may require stronger controls, and to prioritize audit steps and test plans.
- Perform and document testing and walkthroughs of processes and controls, with appropriate validation.
- Validate and document remediation issues and improvement opportunities.
- Use various analytical techniques for developing audit programs, testing execution, and issue validation.
- Prepare and communicate audit artifacts, such as audit programs, work papers, recommendations, and audit reports.
- Conduct interviews with all levels of personnel, from staff to executive management.
- Maintain detailed and well-organized audit records.
- Position may include additional duties that utilize the required skills.
- Telecommuting permitted up to 60%; employee must reside within normal commuting distance of company’s office in Redmond, Washington
SUMMARY OF REQUIREMENTS
Requires a Master’s or foreign equivalent degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, and three years of experience in:
- Conducting internal audits, including operational, financial, and compliance assessments utilizing the Sarbanes-Oxley Act provisions, the Committee of Sponsoring Organizations (COSO) internal control framework, and Accounting procedures;
- Developing audit programs, test execution, and issue validation utilizing analytical techniques, including Microsoft Excel, IDEA Data Analytics Tool, Workiva, and Logic Manager;
- Recommending improvement of controls and processes to ensure that risk management and control governance systems are functioning as intended; and
- Collecting, examining, analyzing, and verifying information about the organization’s systems and processes by reviewing manuals, policies, reports, financial statements, and other written materials, and by interviewing organizational members.
Telecommuting permitted up to 60%; employee must reside within normal commuting distance of company’s office in Redmond, Washington.
This position includes a base salary range of $105,545 to $110,516 annually, potential for a semi-annual discretionary performance bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and paid time off.
