The Opportunity
The main purpose of the Internal Auditor role is to provide assurance that the Company’s risk management, governance and internal control processes are operating effectively whilst helping protect assets, improving efficiency in operations, ensuring compliance with laws and statutory regulations and established monitoring procedures.
Key duties and responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:
> Responsible for internally auditing the UK and Ireland business, confirming compliance with all relevant procedures, regulations, ISO certification and relevant industry accreditations
> Responsible for completing a schedule of internal audits with all relevant stakeholders across the UK and Ireland
> Ensure all preparation, reporting and post audit records are complete, accurate and communicated effectively and in a timely manner
> Maintain and monitor audit reporting, non-conformance and corrective actions
> Ensure a proactive approach to compliance and regulatory matters
> Engage with site Operations Teams and Management promoting Quality and Assurance excellence across all areas of the company
> Participate in quality and assurance non-conformance investigations
This role will require regular travel throughout the UK and Ireland which will include overnight stays. KAEFER Head Office is based in Jarrow, therefore there will be in infrequent need to be based there for a limited number of days each month.
The Person
The ideal candidate for the role will be a process driven individual who has the ability to work autonomously or as part of a team. They have a solution focused approach to quality and assurance challenges.
Essential:
> Good working knowledge in applicable ISO standards and 3rd party certification bodies
> Computer literate with experience in using MS Office and web-based applications
> Experience of planning and conducting informative audits
> Internal Audit accreditation
> Full UK Driving License
Desirable:
> Experience within construction/ multi discipline industry
> Experience in incident investigation and root cause analysis
> Lead Auditor accreditation
> IOSH Certificate
