Wood is recruiting for a Graduate Mechanical Engineer to join our Engineering Team within our Renewables Consultancy Centre of Excellence based in Glasgow.

As a Graduate Mechanical Engineer, you will have exposure to different parts of the Renewables Consultancy business gaining vital skills within engineering, project management and technical due diligence.

Within our Renewables Consultancy business, we service a varied client base worldwide, including private developers, investment banks, utilities and power generation companies, pension funds, technology innovation and research centres – to name but a few. We provide value added services bespoke to the clients' requirements across; advisory services, project management, owners engineering through all the phases of the project lifecycle. Our specialisms within the renewable energy sector include; onshore and offshore wind, green hydrogen, solar, storage and infrastructure, among others. The work that we do for our clients is key to making the energy transition possible.

Expected:
- Academic qualifications that meet the IMechE requirements for CEng registration; either a BEng (Hons) degree in mechanical engineering or similar accredited for CEng plus an appropriate and accredited Masters degree, or an integrated MEng degree in mechanical engineering or similar accredited for CEng
- Ability to work in multi-disciplinary team environments
- Previous experience either voluntary or work placement within a renewable energy environment is desirable
- Driving license valid for use in UK and abroad
- Willingness to travel occasionally (UK and abroad) as part of work assignments
- The right to work in the UK
