The Company
Fox Global Partners is currently for an Internal Audit Manager to join a listed Construction and Engineering organisation. They have a proven track record or delivering sustainable high performing assets across the globe within the infrastructure, resources and energy industries.
The Role
Based in their regional office, the internal audit manager will provide an independent and objective internal audit service designed to add value to and improve operational and Group risk and control environment. The main aim of the role is to provide an independent and objective internal audit service designed to add value to and improve operational and Group risk and control environment.
Key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Assist the local management to determine the Internal Audit Program
- Delivery of the Internal Audit Plan in line with relevant agreed timeframes.
- Conduct audits in accordance with Audit Program
- Make oral or written presentations to management during and at the conclusion of the audit, discussing deficiencies, recommending corrective action.
- Ensure that all agreed upon action plans are subsequently implemented.
- Assist the leadership team to ensure the Audit Programme continues to target key risk areas and ensure resources are appropriately guided and focused.
- Attend the day-to-day activities relating to the audit activities.
- Raise awareness of audit objectives and requirements throughout the Group subsidiaries.
- Report on Internal Audit activities to the group leadership team.
- Develop and maintain effective key internal and external stakeholder relationships.
- Manage audits through established internal audit processes i.e. draft internal audit planning memorandums, create and execute test plans, perform walkthroughs, maintain detail audit files/working papers; and
- Travel on an as required basis, both domestically and internationally.
Your Experience and Skills
- Experience in internal auditing and risk management. Experience in the energy, resources and infrastructure and major capital project/construction auditing will be beneficial.
- Suitable tertiary and professional qualifications with a minimum of 7 years' relevant experience
- Ability to assist management by bringing a systematic, disciplined and structured approach in risk management, controls and governance process.
- Strong relationship building skills to ensure deliverables are clearly articulated.
- Effectively and efficiently handle multiple responsibilities at the same time.
- Highly collaborative, have outstanding communication skills and maintain the highest standards of professionalism in a fast-paced environment.
