We are excited to be reintroducing our internship program back to our London office, with placements starting in July 2023 and ending in July 2024. This 12 month program is a fantastic opportunity for anyone in the very early stages of their career to join one of the leading companies in Film and TV. Although each role is different and part of a different department, all our internships will give you an in-depth understanding of the industry and department and will play a major part in helping to carve out your future career.

Internship and Department overview:
Sony Pictures Entertainment is a major studio responsible for blockbuster films such as Spider-Man, Jumanji and Ghostbusters, and legendary TV Shows such as Breaking Bad and Outlander. The role of Marketing Intern –will be placed within the marketing team of the Distribution division for CEEMA (Central Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa) responsible for the distribution of film and television content. The role of the CEEMA Distribution Marketing team is to work alongside sales to help promote and customize the series/features content being pitched to buyers, ensuring sales have the most relevant and up-to-date support materials, and build activation plans directly with partners and retailers for key releases.
This is a centralised role based in London, supporting the sales and marketing strategy by working with local teams in the following regions; CEE, Africa, Middle East, Turkey, Israel, Greece, Baltics and Adria.
What you will do:
In this role you will support the team that manages Marketing for CEEMA’s Distribution and Home Ent business. This will include;
- Asset Management. The role is responsible for gathering Marketing Materials both on-air and off-air (promos, artwork, social media assets, decks, etc) across Features and TV Series using our asset databases to search for, package and deliver to clients and internal stakeholders.
- Assist team in building presentations for key internal and external meetings
- Work alongside line manager on ad hoc projects including brainstorm sessions, team workshops, creating newsletters, Home Entertainment planning meetings
- Briefing and liaising with agencies for marketing initiatives including PR, social media and creative campaigns
- Assistance at ad-hoc events and screenings, compiling and managing party/event invitation lists, researching, sourcing and sending out merchandise for promotions and events, etc.
- Using internal finance systems including SAP to set up new vendors, raise POs and manage the PO log. Supported by internal stakeholders
The successful candidate will be responsible for crucial administrative functions within the CEEMA team but also have opportunities for development and involvement in Creative planning, Marketing, B2B, Internal Communications and Events. They will have a passion for providing excellent admin support and developing their marketing knowledge and skills within a fast pace industry. Interest in TV and feature films would be beneficial as well as the entertainment industry.
What you need:
To be considered for this internship you will need to be;
- Exceptionally organized
- Highly proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel and Word, Outlook.
- Photoshop, In-Design skills are desirable.
- Strong interpersonal skills to maintain sound working relationships.
- Excellent writing skills with first class attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Self-motivated team player and facilitator.
- Ability to coordinate and work in a high-paced and dynamic environment
- Experience with content management system (CMS) tools, metadata and video file specs would be beneficial.
