  • Learn and understand the business environment – how do business needs and plans impact localization? How can we support them?
  • Work with all relevant people (Ecom Marketing, extended Marketing teams, and Editorial, Creative and EU Project Managers) to ensure that appropriate source and reference materials are provided to linguists.
  • Help ensure that copy is delivered in line with brand voice, terminology, set processes, as in accordance with regional strategies, goals and objectives.

Process & Procedures
- Oversee end-to-end translation and localisation projects with the assistance of Vendor PM and language teams; ensuring deadlines and quality standards are adhered to and provide pre- and post-translation support upon request.
  • Own and maintain the process of linguistic quality assurance on content pages and UI enhancements, to ensure optimum customer experience.
  • Prioritise tasks to ensure that business objectives are met with localization efforts tailored to specific needs.
  • Learn and develop understanding of Localization strategy with a focus on improving process(es), workflows, efficiency, and quality.

Expertise & Excellence
  • Grow and maintain skills and expert knowledge of Translation & Localisation industry developments and practices.
  • Stay informed of international brand standards and specialised industry terminology.
  • Develop areas of knowledge within the world of Ecommerce and wider retail landscape.
  • Evaluate and advise on-demand on vendor translation resource selection.

Experience, Skills & Knowledge

  • Fluent English. Knowledge of another language highly desired.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and keep multiple simultaneous projects on track at once.
  • Understanding of how language can shape how we see things – how brands use this to encourage users to think, feel or behave a certain way.

  • Strong communication skills to ensure responsiveness and flexibility in supporting internal and external teams.
  • Highly solution-oriented and excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Detail orientated and able to take initiative to follow up on issues and provide ideas for resolutions.
