Job description
The University of Manchester has a rich heritage of discovery, social change and a pioneering spirit, which has been at the heart of what we do since 1824. When you join our university, you become part of a truly diverse and global community of staff, students and alumni all focused on ensuring that we are recognised for the excellence of our people, research, learning and innovation, and for the benefits we bring to society.
We’re a proud Manchester institution and have ambitious plans for our future. At the heart of our vision are our people – a diverse, inclusive community of individuals who work together to create positive change for the world around them.
Research and teaching are the foundation of what we do, but the University relies on a range of roles to help create the exceptional. If you think boldly, act with integrity and celebrate difference, then this could be the place for you.
The Directorate of Finance is recruiting a Finance Officer to join the Faculty of Science and Engineering Finance team. A key aspect of the role will be to provide financial guidance and advice to non-finance staff and be their main point of contact for non-research matters. You will be customer focused, flexible in your approach, and work in conjunction with the Senior Finance Officer and Head of School Finance in order to develop and enhance your role.
What you will get in return:
- Fantastic market leading Pension scheme
- Excellent employee health and wellbeing services including an Employee Assistance Programme
- Exceptional starting annual leave entitlement, plus bank holidays
- Additional paid closure over the Christmas period
- Local and national discounts at a range of major retailers
