Calbridge is looking for an enthusiastic, and experienced Designer to join our team!
The Interior Designer candidate will have a minimum of 7 years of residential design experience, preferably in new home build environments, excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities, an eye for detail, and enjoy collaborating in a team environment. The Designer will have a demonstrated dedication for assisting homeowners create and personalize their home spaces, inspiring exceptional customer service experiences. Our design candidate is confident working independently, and adapts to working collectively, able to develop and elevate team and department strengths to create innovative designs. Calbridge’s Designers are integral members of the team that continue to move Calbridge’s award winning designs forward!

Status: Full-Time
As a primary point of contact for our home buyers the Interior Designer is responsible for ensuring their satisfaction throughout the 78 Design Studio selection process and beyond. The Designer is a pivotal role and educates purchasers about the selection process and available options, assisting customers with the personalization of their new home. Providing customers with a professional design experience supportive of Calbridge Homes’ passion for crafting beautiful, unforgettable homes and providing an exceptional experience is the responsibility of the Interior Designer.
The Interior Designer will:
- Provide Calbridge Purchasers with a professional design experience, coordinating and managing multiple appointments, while skillfully educating and guiding customers through the home-build interior selection process, and maintaining an on-going relationship founded on a superior customer service experience.
- Prepare and maintain interior selections paperwork, including, cabinetry, shower and tile layouts, and other selections information and details; and maintaining the on-going inter-departmental transition of information.
- Complete late change orders for homes in-field, relative to changes which are pre-approved by site and management, and associated tracking and maintenance of information transfer.
- Provide co-primary support for internal Show Home decorating, other Staging Projects, and associated design and decorating support requirements.
- Support Design Studio management, providing current information about new products, product procurement, outsourcing product driven by customer requests; and maintaining current Design Studio presentations relative to inventory and new product availability.
- Manage Quick Possession Interior Selections and associated file maintenance and paperwork.
- Assist with the support of duties relative to associated Design Studio responsibilities, including closing show homes, furniture sales, various logistics, etc.
- Assist Design Studio management with on-going Design Studio initiatives, including providing in-house department training, inventory reviews, studio maintenance, etc.
- Other associated duties, as required.
The ideal Candidate will have a degree or diploma in Interior Design; and 7 years of experience in residential, interior design; preferably in a new home build environment. And,
- Must have an exceptional understanding of the new home build décor and design process; and have the ability to manage multiple deadlines, and maintain the customer experience.
- Advanced computer skills in MS Office and additional relevant software applications; experience with HomeFront, Sales Simplicity, Sketch-Up, AutoCAD, and Revit would be considered an asset.
- Requires excellent organizational skills, a detail-oriented focus, an ability to respond to changing priorities; and a demonstrated passion for exceptional customer service.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; with an ability to listen and respond to issues in a respectful manner maintaining the dignity of others; and,
- Must work well within a highly functioning team, with demonstrated inter-personal and inter-departmental relations experience, and have the ability to work independently.

- Available to work a flexible schedule including occasional evenings, and weekends.
