We are looking for an Interim HR Advisor (12 months Maternity Cover) to join our fantastic HR Team here at Farncombe Estate, to help take care of our team and the business across two of our award winning hotels, The Fish and Foxhill Manor.
Reporting to the Group HR Manager, you will be based operationally within the hotel and focused on tactical issues to keep the hotel team functioning at optimum performance. You will be the first point of call for any HR queries in the hotel and give first line support to our heads of department and managers, offering best practice generalist support, advice and guidance on HR policy and people issues. You will work closely with our Resourcing Manager to ensure we deliver a first class onboarding experience and successfully induct new team members into the business. You will also provide support to our heads of department with performance management meetings and administration tasks such as return to work interviews, exit interviews, rota checks for payroll and liaise with our Group HR Manager HR Administrator on wider or more complex issues.
You must be CIPD Level 5 qualified with hands on experience in a fast paced business, you’ll need to be approachable and personable with good active listening skills. You’ll also need to be really well organised, detail conscious, a good communicator and accustomed to working autonomously and flexibly – you’ll need to think on your feet almost daily. We’ll ask you to evidence your strong influencing and interpersonal skills, as well as building rapport whilst maintaining a commercial focus. Experience of practising HR in a hospitality environment would be preferable, but HR experience in a similar customer facing industry will also be very relevant.
Due to location and the nature of the role, you will need to be able to drive and have access to your own transport.
