Interim Finance Accounting Analyst – c. £36,000 for Norwich, Sheffield, York, or Bristol
Are you an experienced Finance / Accountancy Analyst, who has a strong knowledge of MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, coupled with excellent analysis and problem-solving skills? Here at Aviva, we are looking for long-term interim support to help us deliver change as part of our Finance Transformation project – the role of Finance Accounting Analyst will be offered on 18-month contract basis.
A bit about the job:
You will join Aviva’s newly developed Transformation team, delivering business analysis and suggesting & implementing process improvements. Tasks will include discussing with stakeholders their requirements, identifying solutions, resolving business problems, and setting out the impacts and risks these may have. Additionally, you will collaborate with other Finance Transformation teams where required, to ensure we are mapping processes correctly and are building solutions that resolve business problems and deliver successful outcomes.
Aviva introduced “smart-working” in 2020 and encourage flexible working; however, the successful post-holder will need to be based a commutable distance from our Norwich, Sheffield, York, or Bristol offices.
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
- Previous experience of delivering business change in a Finance and/or Accountancy Analyst (or similar type of) role - Insurance / Financial Services experience would be preferred but not essential
- Excellent presentation, stakeholder management and communication skills
- Ability to build and maintain effective relationships across a range of stakeholders and project teams, ensuring effective engagement to drive awareness and buy-in
- Ability to gather and analyse business requirements, using appropriate requirements, documentation, and management processes
- Ability to support process engineering to identify and assess impacts

- Annual salary of c. £36,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications).
