Job description

Duties Serves as senior strategic intelligence operations planner for CPWG programs at USSOCOM. Determines strategic and operational requirements related to SOF Operations. Performs Engagement, Consulting and Liaison Duties. Ensures the core classified national information protection security disciplines of information are fully covered from a policy and programmatic viewpoint to ensure overall information protection requirements meet mission requirements. Provides senior-level intelligence planning, advice, and knowledge in all source intelligence programs to support decision makers in achieving overall USSOCOM intelligence objectives and priorities; and ensures programs meet intelligence requirements processes. Requirements Conditions of Employment U.S. Citizenship Required All new DCIPS employees are required to complete a two-year DCIPS trial period Position is designated special-sensitive and requires eligibility for access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), other intelligence-related Special Sensitive information, or involvement in Top Secret Special Access Programs (SAP) PCS will be paid IAW JTR and AF Regulations. Ref: AFI36-129, dated 17 May 2019 Qualifications In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions. This is a GG-14 position in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). The GG-14 duties for the Professional work category are at the Senior work level and are equivalent to those at the GS-14 level. The selectee's salary will be set within the 14 grade equivalent to a GS/GG grade based on the selectee's qualifications in relation to the job. EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Your resume must reflect the quality level of experience which demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for successful job performance required for this position. Examples of creditable experience include knowledge of a comprehensive range of intelligence research and collection methods, techniques, and practices to use multi-source intelligence information systems to capture data in order to make recommendations in developing intelligence capabilities, new hypotheses and theories, and threat assessments; knowledge of advanced analytical principles, concepts, and methods to produce detail analyses of complex information/situations attained from multiple sources to support Information Warfare; knowledge of the national intelligence community, organizations and mission/functions, inter-relationships and operations. Note: Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private sector, or experience gained in another government agency. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: 1. Knowledge of the principles, concepts, and theories of All Source Intelligence Capabilities and the standard practices, methods, and tactics, techniques, and procedures related to Commander's objectives sufficient to perform difficult and complex assignments peculiar to SOF. 2. Knowledge of analytical and evaluative methods and techniques, as well as ability to plan, schedule, and conducts projects and studies to evaluate and recommend ways to reduce risks and improve the effectiveness of operations to include adapting or developing new or modified methods reference to SOCOM Operations, programs, techniques, concepts and policies. 3. Knowledge of SOF Operations to perform analytical studies and prepare reports, briefings, documentation, and correspondence to articulately communicate factual and procedural information peculiar to SOF. 4. Skill in applying the principles, concepts and practices of analysis sufficient to perform difficult assignments. 5. Ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and with technical accuracy, both orally and in writing, as well as work in a professional manner with peers, Joint Service-members, and Senior Leaders. 6. Ability to learn and apply analytical investigative techniques to execute all required tasks. PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work.
