Responsibilities:What do our Sales Intelligence Analyst do?
As a member of the Sales Intelligence & Insight team, this role will work under the direction of the Manager, Sales Intelligence & Insights with sales leadership to drive continuous improvement to sales reporting by developing, automating, implementing, and refining business intelligence solutions. This role will serve as the go-to expert for all sales and business intelligence for its designated sales category/categories (Inside Sales, Field Sales, National Accounts, and/or Route 1 Sales).
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Proactively identify intelligence needs throughout designated sales category/categories
- Pull, export, query data from varying operating & CRM systems
- Continually monitor & improve data acquisition & reporting automation ensuring complete data accuracy
- Create processes of checks & balances to ensure accurate data is delivered to stakeholders
- Ensure data governance & quality control is maintained throughout designated sales categories & run cleanup projects as necessary to ensure data integrity
- In partnership with cross-functional teams, implement & manage standardized company processes to maintain data continuity & integrity
- Identify, monitor, and track key performance indicators necessary to optimize business capabilities
- Utilize predictive modelling, competitive analysis, past performance metrics, and other indicators to develop comprehensive future growth & trends to proactively optimize areas of the business
- Design, develop, and roll-out highly visible comprehensive dashboards, visualizations, presentations, and reporting tools in a user-friendly and easy-to-understand way to facilitate business decision-making
- Regularly perform gap analysis to prioritize areas for organizational performance improvement
- Collaborate in multiple large, complex data projects from end to end that often have cross-functional dependencies
- Perform ad hoc reporting and analysis including strategic summaries and recommendations based on research and data to drive high-impact results to sales leadership
- Assist in writing complex business rules to provide additional reporting capabilities
- Partner with cross-functional areas including IT, Transformation, Finance, HR, Product, and Marketing to harmonize data from multiple operating systems
- Stay informed of BI trends and innovative solutions
What do you need?
- Bachelor’s degree in business analytics, statistics, sales/marketing, or related field - Required
- Internal OS (iRIS, PestPac, Anaplan, WDS, etc.) experience or knowledge - Preferred
- Other technologies (Qlik, Big Query) - Preferred
- 3+ years data/analytical experience
- 5+ years experience in progressive sales/analytical operations roles or other related experience
- Strong project management skills
- Exceptional analytical and process development skills
- Financial management skills
- Self-driven and independent
- Strong presentation, verbal and written skills are a must due to participation in communications with management and the broader organization
- Strong leadership skills
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to build trusted partnerships throughout the organization
- Strong understanding of data governance and quality control
- Prophencey in sales and marketing growth tactics
- Advanced reporting tool development
- Ability to influence others
- Ability to understand systems, issues, and limitations and identify solutions
- Ability to make sound decisions based on factual information with a combination of experience and judgement
- Ability to analyze and draw conclusions from data
- Solid business acumen
- Must pass pre-employment background screen
