The Pet Vet - South Yorkshire
Salary
£10.42/hour
Overall purpose:
As a member of our central operations team, this role is responsible for supporting our teams in efficiently processing insurance claims, upholding our reputation for delivering excellence in customer service and patient care.
We're looking for someone who is organised, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and able to demonstrate great attention to detail. Our central operations team are a friendly bunch and we're on the lookout for a candidate who is positive and helpful - a real team player!
This role is 40 hours/week between the hours of 9am-5pm Monday-Friday.

Duties and responsibilities:
People
- Collaborate in a positive and professional manner with internal and external stakeholders to deliver best customer service and patient care whilst adhering to TPV practice procedures.
- Take direction from and liaising with the Central Operations Manager.
- Demonstrate flexibility to share daily tasks and responsibilities amongst the Insurance Administration team.
Operations
- Ensure all tasks are conducted in accordance with The Pet Vet Practice Procedures Manual.
- Complete all insurance claim forms.
- Manage direct and non-direct insurance claims, liaising with the client and the insurance company.
- Complete claim tracker to ensure that the status of all insurance claims is always accurate and up to date.
- Complete payment tracker from accountants, ensuring payments are paid off customers’ accounts.
- Manage insurance debt to ensure outstanding payments are made in a timely manner.
Customer
- Deal with customer queries in relation to insurance claims.
- Contact customers to discuss ongoing claims.
Strategic Activity
- Support the Leadership Team in promoting the strategic plan and the values of The Pet Vet.
- Demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement.
- Special projects as agreed with the Managing Director.
KPIs
- Value of monthly outstanding insurance debt
- Number of claims processed

Working conditions
The role is based in a fast-paced environment. This role is demanding and will be predominately desk based with significant VDU usage.
