Insurance Adviser - Life Insurance, Critical Illness Cover & Income Protection
Job Description
We are looking for an exceptional candidate to join our growing team. As part of the Adviser team, you will be providing independent expert advice to the people of the UK, helping to protect the things that matter most in life, such as their family, their home and their income; achieved by arranging Life Insurance, Critical Illness Cover and Income Protection solutions.
· Basic Salary of £25,000 with uncapped commission and a proven OTE of £45,000-£60,000.
Cores Duties - Summary:
· Advise clients regarding their Personal Protection needs (e.g. Life Insurance, Critical Illness Cover and Income Protection).
· Source the most appropriate cover and carry out tailored quotations for customers based on their circumstances and requirements.
· Your research will involve liaising with Underwriters regarding factors that could have an impact on policies; hazardous occupations or hobbies, health conditions, medical history etc.
· Apply for cover and manage applications with each respective insurer.
· Respond to and follow up sales enquiries by post, telephone and email.
· Produce accurate policy and customer documentation at the point of sale to comply with the companies’ regulatory framework.
· Provide the highest levels of customer service and advice to produce and retain business.
· High level of pipeline management, ensuring your client’s are kept up to date of their ongoing enquiry.
· It’s worth noting that our Insurance Advisers aren’t caught up in loads of admin. Once you’ve protected your client, you’ll have Client Support colleagues to take care of the next steps, leaving you to get on with your role.
· The role is telephone-based servicing clients across the UK. This is NOT a typical Call Centre role.
It’s important to always have a high regard for compliance within a FCA regulated business and adhering to all legislation and regulatory guidelines, including resolving customer’s dissatisfaction appropriately and log all instances of dissatisfaction reported to you.
Skills and Experience - Essential:
· Previous Insurance experience.
· Excellent Communication skills, both written and verbal.
· A high level of customer care and prioritising of customer’s needs.
· A ‘can do’ approach in finding a suitable, tailored solution for each client.
Competencies:
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to demonstrate an outstanding telephone manner.
· Strong commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
· A proven track record in working efficiently with attention to detail and adherence to process.
· Demonstrates reliability, transparency, and honesty.
· Excellent time management skills, able to plan your duties within your day.
· Excellent organizational skills and capable of multi-tasking to tight deadlines.

· Demonstrates problem solving attributes when required.
· As we are regulated by the FCA we are unable to accept applications from anyone with a history of bankruptcy, IVAs or CCJs.
Working Hours:
· 37.5 hrs per week (No weekends)
· Normal business hours are: Monday - Friday, 9:30am-6pm.
· One day each week will vary from this, working 11:30am-8pm.
· This role is office based, working at The Maltings, East Tyndall Street, Cardiff, CF24 5EA
Pay and Benefits:
· Basic Salary of £25,000 with uncapped commission and a proven OTE of £45,000-£60,000.
