About the Trust

Our staff work in lots of different locations and do lots of different things. They look after people at home, in the community and in hospital. They work in local health centres, schools and GP practices as well as our hospitals. We also run lots of specialist services. This means patients come to our hospitals from right across the region.

What you’ll be responsible for:

· Typing of clinic letters (audio using Microsoft word).

· Typing of correspondence and reports as required.

· Arranging appointments in conjunction with clerical officers.

· Helping to maintain the integrity of the electronic diary.

You’ll learn the following whilst working at the trust:

· An in depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in working within the NHS

· Knowledge of the systems used, to effectively complete your role to the highest standard at all times

· A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation

You’ll have the following skills/experience:

· Excellent communication skills.

· Excellent organisational skills.

· Knowledge of Microsoft Packages e.g. Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

· System knowledge of OPAS (Desirable).
