GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
Tiffin University is seeking to fill an adjunct instructor position in English for campus-based day classes. The position includes teaching face-to-face sections in foundational and/or first-year composition courses within the general education curriculum. Candidates should have a M.A. in English or Rhetoric or a minimum of 18 credit hours of graduate work in the specific major. Prior teaching experience is preferred. These classes are in-person on Tiffin University’s campus.
Requirements:MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Teaching active-learning courses in composition.
- Grading and providing detailed feedback on all assignments.
- Actively responding to student emails and requests within 24 hours
- Communicate effectively with students via written, oral, and virtual modalities
QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE JOB
Education:
- Applicants must have a Master of Science in mathematics or a related field, a B.S. in mathematics and some teaching experience, or a minimum of 18 credit hours of graduate work in the specific major.
Experience:
- Applicants with college teaching experience will be preferred.
