Job description

Prepr, is a non-profit social enterprise established in 2011, originally set out to explore the cross-sections of innovation and skills economy. In 2014, Prepr launched its flagship product, called PIE; an interdisciplinary problem-solving framework, a 3-phase Method that combines project leadership, innovation, and entrepreneurship to build agile teams and take ideas to market in 15-Steps in 90 days or less.

Today, Prepr creates virtual labs that enable organizations to deliver collaborative learning experiences combining project-based learning, challenge-based learning, and micro-credential achievements in order to help students, employees, job seekers and startups upskill and re-skill, on their journey to becoming lifelong learners and problem solvers.

As our Interactive Instructional Designer you will be a key contributor to enhancing and building upon existing programming, as well as adapting it for new audiences. Your days are busy creating content (both written and interactive), liaising with the marketing and technology team to enhance the overall learning experience, and supporting other teachers and facilitators while using our program.

A natural teacher, you are great at empathizing with the needs of students, and are able to put yourself in their shoes. You recognize that creating great learning experiences is about more than content and curriculum, and work to create multi-faceted touch points to keep learners engaged and excited.

What you have:

  • Completed a Bachelor of Education program or related position
  • Have some instructional design experience focused on digital (i.e. eLearning, presentations, videos, gamification etc.) and blended learning. Experience with an LMS is an asset.
  • Experience in curriculum development is an asset
  • Ability to facilitate and teach both virtually and in-person
  • Impeccable written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate in a team environment and meet demanding deadlines
  • Excellent knowledge and familiarity with the principles of active learning and relevant uses of technology in teaching and learning.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, Microsoft Office is an asset
  • High-level attention to detail and accuracy in the execution of work and tasks
  • Proficiency in French is an asset

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $65,260.00-$79,762.00 per year
