Pembina Hills School Division invites applications for Educational Assistants based out of École Barrhead Elementary School.

Pembina Hills School Division provides education to approximately 3800 students in 15 community schools in north central Alberta. The School - École Barrhead Elementary School
Located approximately 120 km northwest of Edmonton, École Barrhead Elementary School (BES), is a K-6 school with approximately 640 students offering English and French Immersion.

The Position
The successful candidates must be self-directed team players who are interested in providing support and encouragement to students with a diversity of learning needs. Hours of work will be determined based on the needs of the students. Duties are to commence August 28, 2023 and will end June 28, 2024.
Qualifications
- Experience working with students with diverse needs would be an asset
- Preference will be given to applicants with an understanding of childhood development
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with students and adults
- Must demonstrate ability to work as a member of the school team, taking direction from classroom teacher, special education lead teacher, and consultants
- Enthusiastic and motivated to help students succeed
- Ability to work in a flexible learning environment
- First aid would be an asset
