Due to the continued success of our Activations team, and expansion of Avonline Networks we have an exciting opportunity for an Installation Engineer to be part of our Installation team in the South West.
Avonline Networks deliver service excellence on a nationwide basis. From the national fibre networks which millions of homes and businesses rely upon every day, to the infrastructure that delivers the latest technology to Multi-Dwelling Units (MDU's) across the UK. Providing installation and maintenance of infrastructure to MDU's across the UK for public sector, social housing, and private landlords, which include the latest technology, FTTP and IRS.
The role & responsibilities:
Your role will be to carry out residential and business fibre broadband installations. All operatives are responsible for ensuring the Health and Safety of themselves and others who might be affected by their actions and for co-operating at all times on health and safety matters. in particular they should:
You will:
- Follow all instructions given by Management to ensure safe working conditions for themselves and safety of public
- Carry out work instructions in line with standard operating procedures and customers specification.
- report defects in equipment to your team manager immediately and do not attempt repair.
- Assist the general public by maintaining signing, barriers as appropriate.
- Wear the appropriate personal protective equipment as issued and instructed by the company and to report any loss or damage of the same.
- Safety Footwear must be worn at all times.
- Be active in the implementation of the health and safety policy and be involved in its improvement by suggesting way of eliminating hazards.
What we need from you.
- Complete and pass all training modules covering Fibre Optic installation.
- Should have demonstrated to be capable to install the customers fibre optic broadband from the "POT" through to the router situated within the customers' premise.
- Should have passed a trade test related to customers SOP.
- Reliable & Punctual.
- NRSWA accredited, signing, Lighting and Guarding as a minimum.
- Clean driving Licence.
- Consistently over a three-month period should pass the "Gigaclear Quality Audit process"
- Good customer skills
- Trained in install Compliance & customers standard operating procedure.
- Able to meet strict quality targets.
